COVID restrictions were lifted in Oregon on June 30th and it has had a wonderful impact on how we enjoy the best that Oregon offers in the warmer summer weather.  While public transportation, air travel and medical facilities, and some attractions, retailers and restaurants still require a mask, if you are like me, it is liberating to keep my mask in my pocket. Here are a few places I recommend you show your smiling faces and enjoy the best of our beautiful State:

Stay Home Vacations in Portland:  Really no need to travel to see the beauty of Oregon.  Whether hiking local trails, going to the Gorge or Multnomah Falls there is so much to see and do and still be home for dinner:

Here is an article I like that highlights the best to do day trips right here in Lake Oswego, Oregon City and Milwaukie.

The Oregon Coast:  As many of you know Eric and I lived in North Bend for about 14 years before moving to Portland and absolutely loved exploring the small towns and beaches.  From Astoria to Brookings there is so much to see and explore.  The warmer temperatures of the beaches from Bandon to Brookings makes those town fun to visit during cooler months, but Waldport, Yachats and north to Astoria are where you want to go during the heat of August.  No matter weather you ATV, Camp, Hike or just like to play on the beach, Oregon coast has a place for you.

Be safe, double check pet restrictions before you head out, lock up your personal items in the trunk of your car,  and always be respectful of the beauty of our parks, trails and beaches.  Carry out your trash and stay on trails to protect the flora.  If planning to play in the ocean always be mindful of the hazards, riptides and sneaker waves.

Hopefully I will see you out there!  Enjoy.
