What you don't know can hurt you. Radon gas is an invisible, odorless and naturally occurring that seeps from the ground. It typically seeps into the home from the basement or crawlspace. Radon testing is easy and inexpensive. We recommend you hire a professional to administer the test. Many Home Supply stores have Radon Tests available for the do-it-yourself consumer. These test kits are pretty accurate but only if you follow the instructions exactly as written. If you find you have Radon in your home at a level that advises correction, it is pretty easy and affordable to mitigate, but if you don't know it's there, it can be dangerous.
