COVID-19 Impact on our Residential Real Estate:
My thoughts...Many of our clients have called us over the last few weeks to ask about how Covid-19 is affecting the real estate market. Real estate is now and always will be an essential part of our lives. It is our home.
I have been a Broker in Oregon since 2005, and opened my real estate company in 2008. I have experienced and weathered many market changes including the economic recession in 2007-2009 which lasted 19 months and impacted all of us just like this event. The impact the 2008 recession have had on both national and local real estate values was significant for home sellers but it also offered opportunity for home buyers.
Since 2015 our local market has been pretty great for both home sellers and buyers. And while I am not able to say exactly when, I am sure that this will soon pass and we will be back on track, or even better, considering a possible surge of activity that was put off as we all heeded the stay at home guidance and waited for this event to resolve.
In the meantime, Eric and I are both keeping healthy and we are still actively assisting our clients and have included a strict code of conduct that ensures the safety and health for our clientele and all parties involved with the home search, inspections and purchase or sell of your home.
Please call us anytime for anything at all. We are both here for you for guidance, assistance or to just talk.
Keep your spirits up and keep well, Mary Anne
